New Service Base Highlights CBE's Continued Growth

For more than 45 years, we’ve provided copier and print solutions to customers across South Carolina—and today, we’re proud to add another group of businesses to become satisfied clients. CBE has acquired a copier and printer service base in the Piedmont area of South Carolina, which means we’ll be bringing our proven experience and trusted support to that new group of clients.

CBE president John Eckstrom negotiated the transfer with Stacy Brevard Mays of S&B Office Supplies and Furnishings, which had previously obtained the base from local dealer Blake and Ford. The success of the deal was boosted by our reputation as a leader in copier and printer services in the Southeast.

“We have been aware of CBE and what they bring to market. They have demonstrated a real commitment to the office technology space,” Mays said.

In addition to expanding our area of influence in copier and printer solutions, we’ve also significantly enhanced our networking and computer support offerings over the past decade. Our IT team has grown to a ten-person division skilled in a full menu of services, with high-profile clients throughout South Carolina and the country, including (but not limited to) other copier companies. According to company president John Eckstrom, the expansion of CBE’s services was an answer to changing needs in a fast-paced market.

"It has become obvious to CBE's management team that, without a real focus on infrastructure and technology, their relevance would become a thing of the past," said Eckstrom, who also noted that he is very pleased with the S&B acquisition.

CBE is a dealer of Sharp, Toshiba, and Oki Data printers and copiers. Our headquarters in Columbia, SC, also functions as a factory service training facility where other dealerships come to receive training to become factory certified. Additional CBE offices are located in Florence, SC and Charleston, SC.
